As a provider of an essential service, we are working to ensure we are here for our customers, our community and our employees as coronavirus impacts the region.

With Governor Inslee’s Safe Start Washington county-by-county phased re-opening approach, PSE is gradually returning maintenance and construction crews back into the field and offices. PSE’s highest priority is the health and safety of our employees and communities. As such, we continue to adhere to current CDC guidance regarding COVID-19 while working in our community.

We are requiring our employees to maintain physical distancing while working in the field and offices. We encourage our customers to do the same when engaging with our employees.

Determining Your Incentives

The more measures you include in your project, the more points you earn and the higher incentives you receive. Choosing higher efficiency measures will result in more points earned.

Using the Incentive Points Structure Table below, a project servicing 100,000 sq. ft. of conditioned space, earning 7.5 incentive points would receive a $20,000 incentive.

    How? Here’s a sample calculation:

A 100,000 sq. ft. project worth 7.5 incentive points would fall into the “better” efficiency tier and would be eligible for 5 points after deducting the 2.5 code compliance points required. To find the incentive, multiply the five incentive points x $0.040 (middle column) to get $0.20/SF. Finally, multiply the $0.20 x 100,000 sq. ft. to obtain the $20,000 incentive.

      Compliance points required $/Eligible incentive
    point - sq ft
    Incentive points required
    Good 2.5 $0.035 1.00 - 4.75
    Better 2.5 $0.040 5.00 - 8.75
    Best 2.5 $0.045 9.00 - 14.75
    Very best 2.5 $0.050 15.00+
