Match up to 100 percent of your electricity usage with green, renewable energy generated in the Pacific Northwest. Green Power’s renewable energy is created from naturally replenishing sources, like sunshine and cool breezes. These resources emit dramatically less greenhouse gas emissions than fossil fuels.
Participate in Green Power to:
- Demonstrate sustainability leadership to your customers and employees by matching up to 100 percent of your business’ electricity usage and joining PSE’s Leadership Partners
- Help your business reduce its carbon footprint with no maintenance or installation of additional systems
- Enjoy an easy sign-up process and matching opportunities that meet your business needs
Estimate your costs and learn about the environmental impact of your renewable power choices. By inputting your monthly electricity usage from your utility bill, you can calculate the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) you could avoid through participation in the Green Power and Solar Choice programs as a customer.
What does it cost to participate?
We offer flexible enrollment options that can be customized to your business' needs. If you'd like to match 100 percent of your usage, your cost will vary based on your monthly electricity use. In 2019, the average Green Power business customer spent about $20 per month to match 100 percent of their electricity usage with renewable resources. Alternatively, match a portion of your monthly electricity usage by purchasing blocks of renewable energy for as little as $4 per month. We use these dollars to buy renewable energy credits (RECs) from local renewable energy resources and projects equal to the amount of electricity you've chosen to match.
What does my enrollment support?
Our Green Power team is dedicated to sourcing renewable energy projects where your extra dollars are spent doing the most good. Green Power is a Green-e® Energy certified program, ensuring your individual monthly contribution helps support local projects in the Northwest producing renewable energy that meets the highest industry standards. Our Green Power team prioritizes sourcing renewable energy projects located in Washington and the Northwest that support independent owners and the local economy.
