Choose a site for your income-eligible subscription

Community Solar offers PSE electric customers, regardless of barriers such as income, the opportunity to subscribe to 100% local solar energy at no cost. We’ve partnered with communities and organizations across our service area to build new, local solar energy installations. As sites are constructed, subscriptions will become available for a limited number of income-eligible shares per site.

How do I subscribe?

  1. Choose an available solar site from the below list.
  2. Sign in to your PSE electric account to calculate your estimated benefits for each site.
    • There’s no cost to participate for income-eligible customers.
    • Affirm you meet the household income requirements to participate.
  3. Confirm and submit your subscription to enroll.

Pine Lake Community Solar

The Pine Lake Community Solar site will be installed on the roof of the Pine Lake Middle School building located in Sammamish, Wash., and will generate 175 kWac. Construction has already begun on the site; it is estimated to be fully operational before the end of 2021.

Kittitas Community Solar

Located in sunny Kittitas County near Ellensburg, Wash., the Kittitas Community Solar site is a 5-megawatt ground-mounted solar array installation featuring more than 13,000 solar panels that can generate approximately 10 million kWh of solar energy every year, making it the largest solar installation in the inaugural phase of the Community Solar program. The site is currently under construction and is estimated to be fully operational by the end of 2021.

Olympia High School Community Solar

The Olympia High School Community Solar site is a 200 kWac solar array installed on the roof of the Olympia High School building. Construction is complete, and the site is fully operational and currently generating energy.
